Policy on Privacy of Customer Financial Information

  • How We Protect Your Online Privacy.
Universal Audio, Inc. and Kind of Loud Technologies, LLC understands how important personal privacy is to you. We recognize that you expect privacy and security for your business affairs and we also understand the need to safeguard sensitive information that you have entrusted to us. Because of our commitment to protect your privacy and the value we place on your relationship with us, we have adopted the Policy on Privacy of Customer Financial Information set forth below.
  • Collection, Retention, and Use of Your Information.
In the course of doing business with you, we collect, retain and use certain "nonpublic business information" about you for several purposes. We use this information to conduct business with you.
We collect nonpublic business information about you from the following sources:
    • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, and FIN (federal identification number);

    • Information we receive from a business-reporting agency, such as creditworthiness and payment history.

  • Frequently Asked Questions
    • Internet Privacy
      • Q. Is my privacy protected if I login to "my uaudio.com" on your website?

      • A. Yes. If you order our products online, the personal information you provide to us is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is a commonly used protocol for managing the security of a message transmission on the Internet. SSL uses a program layer located between the Internet's Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Transport Control Protocol (TCP) layers. SSL is included as part of both the Microsoft and Netscape browsers and most Web server products. Older browsers may not accommodate SSL sessions, so you should ensure that the browser you are using includes the SSL technology.

Also, for each visitor to our web page, our web server automatically recognizes only:
        • The consumer's Internet Service Provider (for example, America Online), but not your specific e-mail address. For instance, if your e-mail address is "johnsmith@aol.com," only the aol.com part of the address is recognized.
        • Aggregate information on which pages consumers visit, but no information on pages visited by any individual consumer. The aggregate information we collect (for instance, how many "hits" on a particular Web page) is used for internal review to improve the content of our Web page.

    • Use of Information About Your Company
      • Q. Do you give information about clients to the government?

      • A. We disclose Customer information to the government:

        1. When we are required to do so by laws and regulations,
        2. When we are served with a subpoena, court, or administrative order,
        3. When a Customer authorizes us to do so.
